Scorpia

An Alex Rider adventure.

Anthony Horowitz

Every body says that Alex Rider is the spitting image of his father, but Alex knows nothing about his father, but that he died in a so-called Airplane crash. And Alex wants to know more. And at Yassen Geogrovich’s death bed he speaks his final words to Alex “Your father was a great friend of mine. We were partners. He was a killer like me. He even saved my life once. Go to Venice. Find Scorpia. And you will find your destiny…”  And in Alex’s new adventure he will seek out this Scorpia and he will know more about his father.
I liked this book because of the action and adventure on every page. It really pushes the book forward. Like when Alex encounters a Scorpia agent and throws him in a underground cell, and there is a flood coming in Venice and from the walls almost green from being submerged in water several times he has to find a way out or he will drown and die. He finds a hole in the ground and squeezes his way into the tunnel he hopes that the tunnel leads out or he will die. That’s why I really loved this book.

This series of books are not just for kids, but for young adult readers too. Check out the rest of the Alex rider series. I would rate this book 4.5 stars.
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a son of a god?

I would recommend the book Percy Jackson the Lightning Thief. The cover really attracts you to it, and if you like Greek mythology this is a book for you.

It starts when Zeus’s master bolt goes missing and he blames Poseidon. Percy, Poseidon’s

son, tries to help him get it back from the mysterious thief and stop the next war between the gods. Will he be able to get it back in time?

I like this book because of the Greek mythology characters. For example, the Minotaur, the creature Percy fights in the beginning of the book, is a half man half bull, and Grover, Percy’s best friend, is a satyr. (A satyr is a half boy half goat). It makes the book a lot more interesting.

Another reason why I like this book is because it is really emotional. For example, I got angry when Percy’s friend betrayed him.

I would recommend this book not only for children but for adults too. I would give this book five stars.

Have you ever wished you could be a spy? Well this 14 year old spy wishes that he could just be a normal teenage boy. But when Alex (the teenage spy) goes on vacation with his friend Sabina Star, Alex and Sabina come back to find that there has been an explosion. Worse, Sabina’s dad was badly injured. Alex believes the explosion was intended to kill him, but the inspectors say the cause was a leaking gas pipe. Alex thinks that the cause is more than a leaking gas pipe. Will Alex be able to get out of this one in time, or will he stay in … forever?

I really like this book because of the action and adventure in it. It really makes the book, like when Alex (the teenage spy) goes to Damien Cray’s house to save his friends life, but with the cost of the only evidence that Alex has to prove to MI6 (the London secret service) that Damien Cray is plotting to launch off 25 nuclear missiles to 7 specific locations. But Alex has a plan to get his friend back and keep the evidence to prove to MI6 that he was right, and to send somebody to stop him. but will his plan work? That’s why I really liked this book.

This book is not only for kids but for adults too. I would give these book five paws, and I would recommend the rest of the series (the Alex rider adventures) too such as Stormbreaker, Point blank, and skeleton key. They are great! I give this five stars

Into the Wild

Warriors is a series of action and adventure books, so get ready for the impact of this epic book series!
For generations, four clans of wild cats have shared the forest according to the laws laid down by their warrior ancestors. But the Thunderclan cats are in grave danger, and the sinister shadow clan grows stronger every day. Noble warriors are dying—and some are more mysterious than others. In the midst of this turmoil appears an ordinary house cat named Rusty, who might turn out to be the bravest warrior of all.
I liked this book because of all the action and adventure throughout the entire story. It really supported the plot. My favorite part was when Rusty (the house cat) was accepted into the Thunderclan, and proved himself by fighting a fierce warrior named darkstripe.
If you like action and adventure, I think this is the book for you. I would give this book 3.5 stars.
